At least one person is reported to have been killed after an accident on a ride at the Dreamworld themepark in Australia.   At least four people have been killed after an accident on a ride at the Dreamworld theme park in Australia.  
The incident happened at 2pm local time. A spokesperson for Queensland police confirmed  four people are critically injured after the incident at Dreamworld, the biggest theme park on Australia's Gold Coast.  A spokesperson for Queensland police said they were called to the site at Coomera at around 2.20pm on Tuesday following reports that a number of people had been injured by a conveyor belt.
Police spokesman Kieran Self says police do not yet have information on how the injuries occurred or what ride was involved.  The force confirmed four adults had died after the incident at the biggest theme park on Australia's Gold Coast. 
Miche Paterson, a spokeswoman for Dreamworld, said two men and two women died while on a river rapids ride at the park. She did not confirm how the accident occurred. 
The park told AFP it was working to "establish the facts around the incident".
It was previously reported that the four adults has suffered critical injuries. 
Queensland police spokesman Kieran Self said police also did not yet have information on how the injuries occurred.
