Version 0 of 1.

Video has captured the moment a group of firefighters rescued a dog trapped beneath the rubble after an earthquake in Italy.

The animal was discovered over 24 hours after the area was hit by the 6.6-magnitude quake in the central town of Norcia, Umbria on October 30.

Guided by their own sniffer dog, the crew managed to find the animal and pull it out to safety.

Footage shows the canine’s nose poking out of a large pile of debris as rescuers dig carefully around it.

After slowly lifting rocks and clawing away the rubble, the dog is able to make its way out.

No casualties have been reported following the earthquake, despite it being the strongest to hit the country in over 35 years.

This also is the third time in a week that large tremors have shaken cities across central Italy.
