Five in court over Alaneme murder

Five men charged with the murder of teenager Christopher Alaneme have been remanded in custody.

The 18-year-old was found fatally stabbed in Sheerness High Street, Kent, at about midnight on 21 April.

The men, who are all from south-east London, appeared before Maidstone magistrates on Wednesday.

They are Peter Connolly, 29, and Andrew Giblin, 26, of Peckham, Terence Beaney, 23, from Woolwich, and Sean Duhig, 23, and Gerry Duhig, 27, from Camberwell.

Mr Connolly, of Carisbrooke Gardens, Mr Giblin, from Bromyard House, Commercial Way, and Mr Beaney, from Rideout Street, each face a further charge of wounding another man with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

Sean and Gerry Duhig are from Melbury Drive, in Camberwell.

All five are due to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on 25 September.
