A man armed with a butcher knife was shot and killed after hitting students with his vehicle and stabbing several others at Ohio State University, authorities announced on Monday afternoon. The attack left eight victims hospitalized—four with stab wounds and four injured by the motor vehicle—with non-life-threatening injuries. | |
Authorities have not identified a motive but are not ruling out that the incident was terror-related. | |
Witnesses said that the suspect jumped the curb outside Watts Hall and intentionally ran into a group of students. Other witnesses said that someone pulled a fire alarm inside the building and as students poured out of the building they were hit by the vehicle. The person then exited the vehicle with a gun and knife before he began shooting students. | |
