The stretch of road was closed off to allow examination of the scene and has now reopened. The victim's family released a short statement following the discovery of the accident.
"Caecelia was a wonderful wife, mother, midwife and dear friend and her loss in a car crash is tragic, sudden and unexpected," it stated.
"We request at this time our privacy is respected and that we are allowed to grieve with family and friends.
"She was a wonderful and unique person who was loved very much by everyone who knew her and will be sorely missed."
