The M4 is expected to be closed between the two junctions until at least 14:00. Delays are ongoing on the M4, the A34 and in Newbury. South Central Ambulance said that a first lorry hit the central reservation crashing into a second HGV.
The injured lorry driver was taken to hospital. One of the drivers was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford.
There were queues of up to nine miles on the motorway as investigations took place.
