Man charged over girls sex assault in Burnley

A man has been charged by police investigating the sexual assault of two schoolgirls in Burnley.

Police launched an investigation after two girls aged 13 and 14 were assaulted in separate incidents in the town centre on Tuesday and Wednesday.

A 24-year-old man from Burnley has been charged with sexual assault and false imprisonment, Lancashire Police said.

He is due to appear before magistrates in Burnley on Monday.
