Police in Germany have detained a migrant in relation to the Berlin Christmas market incident in which 12 people died and 48 were injured, which they are now investigating as a suspected"terror attack." Police are treating the incident in which a lorry was driven into the crowd at Breitscheidplatz market in the German capital's city centre on Monday evening as deliberately intended to cause harm.  Officers are treating the incident, in which a truck ploughed into a crowd at the Breitscheidplatz market outside the Kaiser Wilhelm memorial church, as an act deliberately intended to cause harm.
They believe the man arrived in Germany in Ferbruary as a refugee from either Afghanistan or Pakistan, the German newswire DPA reported on Tuesday, citing unnamed security sources.  The man behind the tragedy has since been identified as Naved B, according to Welt.de, a 23-year-old Pakistani refugee who was allegedly living in the capital's largest migrant camp at a converted airport hangar.
Special forces police have since stormed the same Flughen Tempelhof spot as part of a their operation - according to German magazine Focus.

German magazine Focus said on Tuesday that police special forces were storming a hangar at Berlin's defunct Tempelhof airport, which now houses a refugee accommodation centre.
On Monday evening a truck ploughed into a crowd at a Berlin Christmas market, killing 12 people and injuring 48 others. Police say they suspect it was a terrorist attack.
Neither police nor prosecutors were immediately available for comment.
