Man dies in sheltered home blaze

The fire brigade has confirmed that one person has died in a blaze in a sheltered housing complex in Fife.

Firefighters from Fife Fire and Rescue worked to get the flames under control at Inchkeith court in Glenrothes on Monday evening.

Emergency service workers did not need to evacuate the complex where the elderly man died.

The sheltered housing is made up of 42 flats and has residential management staff, plus a community alarm service.
