Father is reunited with nonverbal boy found in Fairfax County

Authorities in Fairfax County said they have found the father of the young, nonverbal boy who was found in the Burke area.

The boy had been found by police at Burke Lake Road and Deep Lake Way. Fairfax County Police said on Twitter early Friday that the boy does not speak and that they were seeking help in reaching his parents.

By 7 a.m., police said on social media that the boy’s father called them and the two “will be reunited shortly.”
