D.C. police identify suspect in November stabbing death of woman in Southeast
Version 0 of 1. D.C. police have identified a suspect in the November stabbing death of a 40-year-old woman whose body was found in woods near the Barry Farm neighborhood in Southeast Washington. Elliott Avery Starks, 34, has been charged in an arrest warrant with first-degree murder while armed. He was being sought on Friday. Police did not say where Starks might live. The body of Antina Cindette Pratt, of Southeast, was found about 3 p.m. on Nov. 8 lying in woods along the 2600 block of Pomeroy Road SE. She had been stabbed several times and was pronounced dead on the scene. She lived in an apartment building several hundred yards away. [Body of woman found in woods. Police say she had been stabbed.] In a statement describing the arrest warrant, police did not provide new details of the stabbing or a connection between the defendant and the victim. Attempts to reach the victim’s family in November were unsuccessful. Additional details will be released after the suspect has been taken into custody and an arrest affidavit is unsealed. |
