It's understood that the bomb went off in a parked vehicle near a used car dealership in the southern part of the Iraqi capital.
It's the third explosion to hit Baghdad this week after a suicide bomber in a truck detonated a device in a northern Shiite neighbourhood of the city, reported Al Jazeera. At least nine people were killed and scores injured in that incident.
As part of the deadly spate of attacks on the city, explosives hidden inside a vehicle in an industrial part of southern Baghdad claimed the lives of four people on Tuesday, according to AFP.
