On Wednesday’s “Tonight Show,” Jimmy Fallon offered a twist on the party game “two truths and a lie,” saying, “I heard that they have their own version of the game at the White House. So I thought it would be fun to try out their version. It’s time for ‘two truths and an alternative fact.’”

Here are a few of Mr. Fallon’s alternative facts:

Both Mr. Fallon and Stephen Colbert, over on “The Late Show,” continued to beat up on President Trump for calling the news media an “enemy of the American people.” For some reason, each host expressed his dismay with a food item:

Republican members of Congress have recently been confronted by angry constituents at town halls who want to know how they plan to replace the Affordable Care Act. James Corden, on “The Late Late Show,” suggested a friendlier venue:

And Mr. Fallon offered a spoof on the town hall-style meetings, inspired by reports that “one Colorado congressman even snuck out the back door to escape.” In the soothing tones of a C-SPAN narrator, a voice-over declared:

Mr. Colbert began his show with a segment playing on the fractious town halls.

The actor and activist Susan Sarandon was a frequent liberal commentator during the 2016 presidential campaign. Just last week on “All In,” Ms. Sarandon, who supported Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont in the Democratic primary, had a tense showdown with Chris Hayes of MSNBC when she accused him of focusing too much on Mr. Trump and not enough on issues like economic inequality and the Dakota Access oil pipeline. She will be on Mr. Fallon’s show on Thursday evening, where things are not likely to be as politically combative — but will probably be funnier.
