Today the UK will challenge executives from Alphabet's ( GOOGL) Google regarding why advertisements marketing the government's services appeared alongside videos containing hate speech and extremist content on YouTube. Google will be attending a meeting at the Cabinet Office following the Times newspaper reporting that public sector ads were appearing next to videos with homophobic and anti-Semitic messages, a spokesman for Prime Minister Theresa May said. "We are waiting for reassurances that they have in place the technical expertise to stop our adverts appearing in the wrong places," he said.
