I took the 17.21 train from Edinburgh Waverley to Glasgow Central via Shotts. | |
Far from being standing room only there were still a number of empty seats once we pulled out of Haymarket. | |
And once we'd reached Livingston South there was plenty of space. | |
I spoke to some of my fellow passengers. One said she took this train at the same time every day and that people were sometimes standing in the gangways - but not always. | |
Another said the stretch between Haymarket and Livingston was often busy, but nothing remarkable. | |
