The two-car collision happened on the Granville Road at 0330 BST on Sunday. He was Liam Cotter from Killyliss Road in the town.
A second man was also taken to hospital where his condition is described as stable. Police have appealed for witnesses. Mr Cotter was in one of two cars that collided on the Granville Road at about 0330 BST on Sunday.
