Version 0 of 1.

Comic actor Chris Langham has appeared in court charged with nine child sex offences and 15 counts of making indecent images of children.

Mr Langham, from Cranbrook, Kent, spoke only to confirm his name, age and address to magistrates in Sevenoaks.

The actor was released on conditional bail to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on 6 October over the nine charges.

He will appear at the same court on 2 October over the 15 charges. He said he was "determined" to clear his name.

Chairman of the bench Robert Gill told him the conditions of his bail over the alleged nine offences were that he must not contact three people directly or indirectly and he must have no unsupervised access to any person under the age of 16.

Mr Langham, 57, was released on unconditional bail in relation to the other 15 counts.

The actor, who appears in the hit BBC political satire The Thick Of It, was charged on Wednesday with eight counts of indecent assault and one other sex offence.

He was charged with 15 counts of making indecent images of children four months ago.
