Fairfax County firefighter injured in blaze
Version 0 of 1. A Fairfax County firefighter suffered minor injuries Wednesday while battling in a blaze at a townhouse in Reston. The fire broke out Wednesday morning in the 1600 block of Greenbriar Court. It reached two alarms. It took crews about 20 minutes to extinguish the fire. The firefighter fell through the first floor of the home into the basement, according to Battalion Chief Willie F. Bailey, a spokesman with the department. He said the firefighter was taken to a hospital but later released. An initial investigation found that the fire was “electrical in nature” and was likely started by a light above the basement ceiling, according to Bailey. There was no immediate estimate of how much monetary damage the fire had caused. |
