The family of Isaac Shawo, 5, said he went missing during the fire. Genet Shawo and her husband Paulos Petakle, were making their way to safety from their 18th floor flat with children Luca, 3 and Isaac, who was holding a neighbours hand and got lost in thick black smoke. His mother told the Evening Standard: “I will not fear the worse. I am still hoping a praying for him”. She said: “he told us during the fire that he didn’t want us to die”. When she got outside she realised Isaac, a pupil at St Francis of Assisi Catholic primary school, wasn’t there. I have been to all the emergency centres, all the hospitals and there is no news of him”.
