Several people were wounded in two overnight shootings in Southeast D.C., police said Sunday.

In total, six victims were wounded in two incidents, which occurred in the 3200 block of 15th Place SE and the 3100 block of Buena Vista Terrance SE, according to authorities. The full extent of all their injuries was not immediately clear.

No arrests had been made in either incident by Sunday morning. Authorities were investigating whether it was possible the shootings, which occurred about a mile from one another , were related, police said.

In the first incident, officers responded to the 3200 block of 15th Place SE, around 11:10 p.m. Saturday, and discovered a man who had been shot in the arm and leg, police said.

He was taken to a hospital.

A second man walked into a hospital at about the same time, police said. He had suffered gunshot wounds, too.

The second incident occurred at around 1:33 a.m. Sunday. Officers who responded to a report of a shooting found four victims, all of whom were taken to hospitals.

The four victims were outside when someone, or multiple people, started shooting at them from inside a vehicle, according to a police report.

No other information, including details of their injuries, was available Sunday.
