Police officers and South East Coast Ambulance Service attended the crash involving a car and a motorcycle at 05:30. The driver of the lorry was not injured, Nestle said.
Two people sustained minor injuries in the crash, but nobody was injured in the fire. Firefighters worked throughout the morning removing the remains of the chocolate bars so the vehicle could be moved.
Firefighters are in the process of removing what is left of the cargo of chocolate bars, so that the vehicle can be moved. Traffic has returned to normal.
