More follows… The incident, at the international station's underground branch, led to disruption, with passenger services being suspended.
Passengers were also left confused after being evacuated without explanation.
Tube services were suspended but the Circle and District line later resumed their stops at the station.
The Victoria line was not open at the station late on Saturday afternoon.
But a Transport for London spokesperson said normal services are expected to resume shortly.
