More follows… Police had cordoned off the area and were inspecting the vehicle, the city council said.
Another van earlier mowed down crowds in a busy district in central Barcelona, killing at least one person and injuring more than 30. Local media reported 13 people were dead.
Spanish media earlier reported that a second van had been rented as a getaway car by attackers.
Spanish public broadcaster RTVE announced that one suspect in the Barcelona van attack had been arrested.
Authorities provided no immediate information on the person or on who might be behind the attack.
