The women's bodies were found in the room they shared in the early hours of 7 November by a member of staff.
Detectives believe that while doors at the home were locked, Mann got in via an unsecured window.
He was arrested just days after the deaths.
Mann admitted the murders at a hearing on 14 July but sentencing was adjourned for psychiatric reports.
