A man who had his conviction for the murder of a Brighton teacher formally quashed by the Court of Appeal is to appear before the Old Bailey in London. A musician who had his conviction for the murder of Brighton teacher Jane Longhurst quashed by the Court of Appeal has denied strangling her.
Musician Graham Coutts, 36, of Waterloo Street, Hove, East Sussex, will be charged with murdering Jane Longhurst. Graham Coutts, 36, of Waterloo Street, Hove, East Sussex, pleaded not guilty to murder when he appeared at the Old Bailey in London via a video-link.
Miss Longhurst, 31, a special needs teacher originally from Reading, Berkshire, was strangled. He was remanded in custody until 26 January, with a trial set for 4 June.
