A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a woman’s body was found at Bestival, police said. A 28-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of a 25-year-old woman at Bestival, Dorset police said.
Officers at the Dorset music event were alerted just before 1am on Monday to concerns about the welfare of a 25-year-old woman from London. The woman from London, who had attended the festival, was found in a wooded area on the edge of its site at the Lulworth estate following a search.

A force spokesman said the woman’s family had been informed and the coroner had been notified of her death. Thousands of people attended Bestival, which ran from Thursday to Sunday, and was headlined by acts including Pet Shop Boys and the XX.
