One man is missing and two have been rescued after a fishing boat capsized off the Devon coast. A fisherman who went missing after his boat capsized off the Devon coast has died, the BBC understands.
The coastguard said after an "intensive" search, the vessel was found four miles south of Plymouth early on Wednesday. Two men were rescued from the upturned Plymouth-based Solstice four miles south of the city after being spotted by a helicopter at about 01:00 BST.
A helicopter found the boat at about 01:00 BST and two people were rescued from the upturned hull by the RNLI. It is believed the skipper, Nick Jones and crewman Chris Wonnacott were the two people saved.
The coastguard said the search for the missing man had been suspended "pending further information". It is understood the man who died was Mr Jones's father. The rescued men were treated by ambulance staff.
The boat has been named locally as the Solstice. The Marine Accident Investigation Branch said in a statement inspectors were investigating the capsize "with the loss of one life".
The BBC understands the skipper, Nick Jones, and a crewman, Chris Wonnacott, were rescued.
It is believed the third man, who is still missing, is the father of Nick Jones.
