CCTV woman appeal over pub death

Detectives want to trace a woman captured on CCTV cameras near a pub where a man died after being assaulted.

Alan Brown, 45, of New Tredegar, died after the attack outside the Tredegar Arms Hotel, Tredegar, on Sunday 4 May.

A 26-year-old man from Abertysswg in Caerphilly county has been charged with Mr Brown's murder.

Gwent Police detectives said they believe the woman could be a witness to the fatal assault and have appealed for helping in identifying her.

Police say Mr Brown was attacked on the night between 2200 and 2300 BST. The woman officers want to trace was seen on CCTV at around the same time.

A 21-year-man has been charged with assisting an offender and has been bailed to appear before Cardiff Crown Court.
