Rain forecast sees weather alert

The Met Office has issued a severe weather warning for Northern Ireland.

An overnight spell of rain could see as much as 30 to 50mm of water accumulate during the night and Tuesday morning, leading to local flooding.

With excess spray and standing water road conditions could become be dangerous and motorists should exercise extra caution.

The Met Office said the warning would remain valid until 1000 BST Tuesday.
