It has been another wet night across Northern Ireland, with flash flooding in some areas.

South Down has been worst hit. Water had to be pumped out of a number of homes and many houses had to be sandbagged.

Rostrevor resident Liam Savage said although sandbags were put down, "the water just kept rising and rising".

"There's an inch-and-a-half of water the whole way through the bottom floor of the house. It's just everywhere."

Councillor Michael Carr said: "Storm drains could not cope, in some cases the water was coming back up.

"Not for the first time, it proves that the system is not coping."
