Warwickshire Police have urged people to avoid a Nuneaton leisure complex due to an "ongoing incident", after unconfirmed reports of a gunman there. An armed man has taken two members of staff hostage inside a bowling alley at a Nuneaton leisure complex, its chief executive has said.
The force tweeted that officers were attending the scene at Bermuda Park, with eyewitnesses saying the incident was taking place at a bowling alley. Mehdi Amshar told Sky News the hostages were being held at MFA Bowl, in Bermuda Park, which also includes a cinema, a children's play centre and a gym.
Eyewitness Kelly Pettett told the BBC she was hiding in the toilet in a restaurant at the complex. Warwickshire Police said it was an "ongoing incident" but confirmed it was unconnected to terrorism.
