Allegations have also emerged that pornography was found on one of his Commons computers. There is no suggestion that any of the content was illegal. He was appointed shadow culture secretary in 2016, after the complaints, but is no longer in the shadow cabinet. Hopkins has “absolutely and categorically” denied acting inappropriately.
