Toddler hurt after van hits wall

An 18-month-old boy was taken to hospital being hit by debris when a van driver lost control and hit a wall.

The child was in his pushchair in St Peter's Street in Aberdeen when the incident happened at 1150 BST.

He was treated for minor cuts and bruises at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. The woman he was with and the driver of the van were not hurt.

Grampian Police said the road was closed after the incident, but has since been reopened.
