“We are spread thin but we have a lot of resources right now”, the deputy said. California Gov Jerry Brown responded to the news by saying he and his wife Anne Gust Brown were “saddened to hear about today's violence in Tehama County, which shockingly involved schoolchildren.”
An area man identified as Brian Flint told reporter Jim Schultz that he had heard his neighbour was the shooter. He said the neighbour “has been shooting lots of bullets lately — hundreds of rounds”. “We offer our condolences to the families who lost loved ones and unite with all Californians in grief,” Brown said in a statement.
“We’ve made it aware that this guy has been crazy and he’s been threatening us”, the man said.
