The German government is considering increasing compensation for those injured or those who lost loved-ones in terror attacks, following criticism in the wake of the last December’s truck rampage in Berlin, AP has reported. Twelve people were killed and dozens more were injured in that attack. A comparison with other countries showed Germany’s compensation for terror victims is relatively low, according to an official representing the victims. Kurt Beck said in Berlin that his recommendations had been welcomed by ministers during a Cabinet meeting on Wednesday, though Justice Minister Heiko Maas said concrete sums weren’t discussed.
