Re “Don’t Give Kids Gifts That Spy,” by Ashley Boyd (Op-Ed, Dec. 9):

Whew and wow! As a parent with children approaching 30, I am quite relieved that the tech worries we primarily dealt with in their younger years were limitations and rules regarding texting and internet access.

I don’t envy the parents of young children today who are grappling with striking a balance between exposure to new technology and guarding privacy. Thankfully, that is not an issue I need to contend with now that my children control their own digital privacy.
