To the Editor:

“Linking Generations Through Riches, and Much More” (Wealth Matters column, Business Day, Dec. 30) mentions the remarkable Antinori family of Tuscany, an Italian winemaker since 1385.

The column says the family “is still linked by its vineyards and grand homes,” but it did not include something else that is sure to contribute to keeping the family together: the new headquarters outside Florence, one of the most outstanding works of architecture of recent years.

This very large, handsome building, built into a scenic hillside so as to nearly disappear from view, has become an inextricable part of the landscape, symbolizing both continuity and growth — the essence of a successful family.
