Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident to come forward. Part of the street remained cordoned off as police carried out a search of gardens and alleyways close to the murder scene.

Postcode gangs
A group of tearful youths later arrived to place flowers at the scene.
One youth said a fight started in the street between rival gangs after a party celebrating a 16-year-old girl's birthday.
The 16-year-old, who did not want to be named, said the fight involved two rival Sheffield gangs.
The youth said about 40 people were involved in the fight, and some were carrying baseball bats and knives.
He added: "The lad [the victim] managed to walk off before he collapsed on the ground."
