It happened at about 02:00 GMT in Lowdham Lane, Woodborough. A 21-year-old man was later taken into custody. | |
He also being held on suspicion of failing to stop and for not reporting an accident. | |
Anthony Scarborough, the house owner, told the Nottingham Post he and his son, 5, were lucky not to be injured. | |
He said the car crashed into the kitchen below the boy's bedroom, but due to renovation work they had been sleeping elsewhere in the house. | |
"It's a stroke of luck really," said Mr Scarborough. | |
He added that it could be a year before they will be able to go back to the house. |
