Detective Superintendent Campbell Corrigan said the men would not be named at this stage and declined to say if the three were related.
He said officers were looking for two men in dark clothing who entered the Applerow Motors MOT centre at about 1415 GMT.
They were also looking for a light blue car seen leaving the vicinity shortly after, he said.
