"All Out War", is how the News of The World describes the fighting within Labour, while the Sunday Telegraph talks of a descent into "Civil War".

Terror threats

The Sunday Times says five Sharia courts in Britain have been given powers to rule on Muslim civil cases.

These range from financial rows to divorce and the paper says the rulings are now enforceable through the High Court or county courts.

The Sunday Express says police are identifying youths vulnerable to approaches from al-Qaeda sympathisers.

The project is "particularly active" in the East London boroughs where the 2012 Olympics will be held, the paper says.

The News of the World has several pages on the diaries of Kate McCann, mother of the missing Madeleine.

Belated apology

The Sunday Mirror carries a front page with claims that Jade Goody's cancer has spread and is worse than feared.

The former Big Brother star and mother-of-two has undergone an eight-hour hysterectomy operation after being diagnosed with cervical cancer.

There is bemusement at plans by the Church of England to apologise to Charles Darwin - for misunderstanding his theory of evolution.

The Telegraph says it is a "bold move" but predicts it will dismay sections of the Church that believe in creationism.

The Mail on Sunday reveals that Michael Douglas is to don sequins and makeup to play legendary pianist Liberace.

The flamboyant showman died from Aids in 1987 and Mr Douglas is said to be "very excited" about the project.
