YouTube HQ: Police confirm there's an active shooter at company campus YouTube shooting: Female suspect dead, four wounded - what we know so far
(35 minutes later)
There is an active shooter at YouTube headquarters in California and dozens have reportedly been taken to hospital.  A female suspected shooter has died of a "self-inflicted" gunshot wound at YouTube headquarters in California and at least four people have reportedly been taken to hospital after being shot, according to police.
One staff member at the San Bruno campus - located 11 miles from San Francisco - said he barricaded himself in a room after hearing shots. Another reported seeing "blood drips" on the floor and stairs as he fled the building as armed police swarmed the site. Police Chief Ed Barberini said during a news conference that the female victim found was "believed to be the shooter" but that police and other law enforcement agencies are continuing to investigate the "active" situation. He said at least two victims were found in a building adjacent to the main YouTube offices.
The San Mateo County Sheriff and local San Bruno police are working together to resolve the situation. Product manager Vadim Lavrusik tweeted that he "heard shots and saw people running while at my desk" but he and some colleagues have been evacuated and are safe at this time.  One staff member at the San Bruno campus - located 11 miles from San Francisco - said he barricaded himself in a room after hearing shots.
