Man hospitalised in sword attack

A man is in hospital with serious injuries after he was attacked with a sword in Devon.

The 25-year-old victim was attacked at a house in St George Road, Barnstaple early on Sunday morning, said Devon and Cornwall Police.

He is being treated in Barnstaple Hospital for serious, but not life-threatening injuries.

Police are searching for a 46-year-old man, believed to be from the area, who they want to question.
