One neighbour, who did not want to be named, said officers surrounded the house for about 90 minutes.
He said: "All of a sudden police came in, a van came over, doors opened, torches on the houses and [officers] shouting, 'Armed police. Armed police. Come out'.
"'Blimey,' I thought, 'Has there been a shooting, or a stabbing or anything like that?' Because the way they've come in with their rifles pointing to the houses and everything. You think, 'What's going on?'."

The people in the car fled the scene when the car was abandoned in Trafford Road. The occupants of the house were led to safety by police and a shotgun was later recovered during a search of the area.
One of them ran off towards Ordsall, where he forced his way into a house in Lasgar Avenue.
Firearms officers from Greater Manchester Police sealed off the house before the suspect, from Ordsall, was led out. He is due to be questioned in custody.
The occupants of the house were led to safety by police.
A shotgun was later recovered during a search of the area.
