The fire broke out at the house in Orkney Street at about 1900 BST on Saturday. Initial enquiries suggest there were no suspicious circumstances. The fire broke out in a house on Orkney Street at about 1900 BST on Saturday. The baby was found dead at the scene.
Two young children managed to escape the burning house with their mother. The baby's mother, three young children and a man escaped the fire. The man and a 5-year-old boy were treated for the effects of breathing in smoke.

The boy was then taken to hospital. "We ran up, and I tried to get up the stairs, but the smoke was that thick we couldn't even make it half way up. I tried it again and I still couldn't get up," he said.
The 10-month-old baby girl was found dead at the scene. "I got up to the window, opened the window where the fire was just to let some smoke out, to see if it would help any.
Police have begun investigating the circumstances surrounding the fire. "My mums boyfriend was at the other window where the baby was, he was trying to get that open. It just wouldn't happen though, the smoke was too thick."
Initial enquiries suggest there were no suspicious circumstances.
