Three rescued from burning boat

Three people had to be rescued from a power boat off the coast of north Wales at Penmaenmawr on Sunday morning after a fire began in the cabin.

A passing boat took the three people to safety from the 36ft (11m) vessel.

Fire officers are assessing the boat's safety because of concerns about gas bottles on board catching fire.

Llandudno's main lifeboat and Beaumaris and Conwy inshore lifeboats were involved in the incident, which began just before 1200 BST.
