Man held after stand-off at house

A 42-year-old man who had barricaded himself inside a house in Falkirk has been arrested.

Officers were called on Tuesday evening to the incident in the Westquarter area of the town.

Central Scotland Police cordoned off the area. They said the man was not armed with a firearm and no-one was injured.

A report will be sent to the procurator fiscal. The man is expected to appear at Falkirk Sheriff Court on Thursday.
