| • Disappointing that Suzanne Moore (G2, 29 May) should lament that the Duchess of Sussex has been seen wearing light tights. She has chosen to dress in white from the time of her first engagement photos: it’s a colour she clearly likes, and she doesn’t strike me as inclined to “surrender” to “the law of the palace”. Is it equally “weird” for a white woman to wear dark tights, as I often do? My uses for the Guardian are: reading it; lining the hens’ ark with it – what a loss the Berliner is; and rolling up pages for setting a fire in the grate.
