A person has been injured in a crash involving a freight train and a vehicle at a railway crossing. A man has been arrested after his car, with his baby daughter inside, was involved in a crash with a freight train at a railway crossing.
Suffolk Police said it happened on Thorpe Lane, Trimley St Martin at about 11:15 BST and one person had suffered "potentially serious injuries". According to Sgt Julian Ditcham of Suffolk Police, the driver drove around the barriers while they were down.
The road is closed while the emergency services deal with the situation. British Transport Police said two adults and a 16-month-old baby were "all safe" but were sent to hospital to be checked for injuries.
Greater Anglia services said services between Ipswich and Felixstowe have been suspended. The crash at Thorpe Lane, Trimley St Martin, happened at about 11:15 BST.
The driver was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, police said.
