Little Marlow field fire: 20 engines tackle blaze Fire in Little Marlow field spreads to industrial units
(35 minutes later)
Twenty fire engines have been tackling a large fire in a field in Little Marlow, Buckinghamshire. About 100 firefighters are tackling a blaze in a field which has spread to nearby industrial units.
The A404 is closed in both directions due to smoke spreading across the road from the nearby blaze. Fire crews were called to a 500 sq m field of grassland and standing corn in Pump Lane South, Little Marlow, Buckinghamshire, at about 16:30 BST.
A high volume pump and four water tankers are there to help combat the fire near the Wyevale Garden Centre. The fire has spread to a number of industrial units and the A404 was closed in both directions due to smoke billowing across the road.
Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service said there was "a lot of blue light activity" and has advised people to avoid the area. Nearby residents are being advised to keep windows shut because of the smoke.
Several roads in the Marlow area have also been closed and Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service expect the "incident will be ongoing throughout the night".
No injuries have been reported so far and the cause of the fire is not yet known.
